I'm optimistic. Not because I just want to be optimistic, but because I'm more confident and better than myself a year ago. That's what matters.
I had the first therapy session today. It was quite pleasant. For some unknown reason, I donโt feel uncomfortable with opening up and talking about my personal stuff. My therapist, fortunately, was a great listener, and I was able to take time and say what I wanted to say.
Graduating from high school and starting my university life, I realized I need to do something with my mental health, because I realized I wasn't mentally healthy. Low self-esteem, perfectionism, well the list goes on. I started to read some books about it, which helped a lot. Since then, I've been practicing to think correctly, not to mentally harm myself.
It's a good signal that I'm in a good place.
